Thoughts on the Term "Spirit"

How are elusive things like spirit, soul, love and compassion different?

Is it a personal decision whether you want to live in a mechanical universe or prefer a "livelier" universe? Or is there a general truth about it that is difficult to prove?

Is Spirit Transferable?

When we dress up, we slip into a different role and become someone else for a short time. Actors do this so convincingly that they can make a living from it. When we drive a car, the car and the human become one. Our skin becomes, so to speak, the autobody and the car part of our human body. In a computer role-playing game, a character has a life of its own. As players, we influence the decisions of the character and his "life" in the game from the outside and give this character something of our spirit.

These considerations can be applied to our lives. Through physics and mechanics, the brain and the subconscious, a lot seems to be hardwired in us humans and in our world in general. This "life of its own" is strikingly similar to the character in a role-playing game mentioned above. If an x-dimensional being is currently playing the game "Universe with Big Bang and Earth", can humans perhaps achieve it (through their decision to believe and their prayer)? Would this possibly result in a person being blessed by "his wisdom"? People have reported experiences of God several times. Who can say with certainty that these are just weirdos?

What happens when we sleep

Then where does our mind go? In the moment, when we fall asleep, does someone wake up in a parallel universe that shares the same spirit with us? Does he take care of other tasks, so to speak, that the sleeper in this world does not notice, since this takes place outside of his own body?

If you think about all of this, you get the impression that spirit seems to come from far away – from "outside". Therefore it could be that a very essential part of the human being, independent of the earthen body and thus beyond its death, could exist. Wouldn't that be nice?

Could one imagine that something like mind can be created artificially? Or does spirit arise, so to speak, as an emergence phenomenon?
"[...] The emergent self-organization connects the material world with the world of the spirit as a consistent principle. [...]"
The idea that the whole is more than the sum of its parts also blows in the same horn.

Does spirit exist or does it arise? In any case, it gives the impression that our spirit grows with us as we develop from infants to toddlers and further. But it could also be that the existing mind develops differently in an adult brain ...
